Malene has always been surrounded by creativity. Coming from a &#8220;long line of makers&#8221;, she was naturally drawn to working with her hands. Her artistic journey led her to\u00a0textile design, community building, and now authorship\u00a0with her book\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/a\/14127\/9781648290992\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Crafted Kinship: Inside the Creative Practices of Contemporary Black Caribbean Makers.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our conversation, Malene shares how growing up in a culturally rich Caribbean household influenced her path.
